Krosswerdz is a community of Christians in Hip-Hop Culture expressing our faith through its various elements.
Our events and activities seek to communicate Christ whilst strengthening that community.
As part of the wider Hip-Hop community we also put on events that everyone can be a part of and support our friends doing the same.
The Krosswerdz community consists of peeps from various ethnic and denominational backgrounds and we embrace all the elements of Hip-Hop Culture and the varying styles and genres within it.
It’s not easy to describe exactly what we “do”, there’s been so much in a bunch of different places both in Australia and Internationally.
We started by putting on Hip-Hop services which included pioneering the concept of Hip-Hop Praise. Since then we’ve also been involved in outreaches, youth events, music festivals, school events, launching a record label (KWR – Krosswerdz Recordings), starting a graff crew (KWA – Krosswerdz Artists), producing a podcast (KW10 Podcast), youth detention ministry, running the annual UPROCK Christian Hip-Hop Summit, putting on concerts, running workshops and either hosting or sponsoring a whole bunch of Community Breakdancing events (including UPROCK Park Jam).
